LIBERIAโ€” Liberiaโ€™s Vice President Jeremiah Kpang Koung is in China with a team to check on companies selling heavy machinery for Liberiaโ€™s roads.

VP Koung successfully lowered the price for 285 machines from US$43 million to US$22 million. This will help Liberia save money and pay in three easier steps.

The team is also looking closely at the quality and capacity of the machines to make sure Liberia gets the best. Officials from Liberiaโ€™s Public Works, Finance, and Procurement departments are part of the visit.

This visit is a big step toward improving Liberiaโ€™s roads and building a stronger partnership with China.
