Bomi County Senator Edwin Melvin Snow says he plans to sue the Liberian Government over what he calls a false and damaging statement.
The threat follows a May 24, 2025 release from the Ministry of Information. In it, the government condemned Snow’s remarks on SPOON TALK, where he reportedly said he wished President Boakai’s administration would not succeed.
The statement also accused Snow and others of trying to destabilize the country. It was sent to international partners, including the ECOWAS Parliament, where Snow represents Liberia.
Speaking during a Senate debate on the Cybercrime Bill, Snow said he had formally informed the Senate about the matter, but it has not been addressed.
He did not give a timeline but said he is determined to go to court to defend his name and political future.
