My ex-girlfriend’s birthday was today, well she wasn’t my ex until 3hours ago…

Since it was her birthday I decided to give her a surprise birthday gift, I was busy throughout the morning but as soon I was free I hurried to a jewelry store and got her a diamond necklace.

I arrived her compound around 1pm, she lives in a one bedroom apartment.

I got to her door and pushed it open, i didn’t want to call out her name to ruin the surprise, I checked the kitchen and she wasn’t there.

As I moved closer to the room I could hear some funny sounds coming from the room, I opened the door gently and saw her with a man(boyfriend no 2) on her bed, she was cheating on me.

I went back to the living room and sat on the couch almost crying when some men on uniform stormed in,
The tallest soldier amongst them turned to me and said

• So you’re the man that’s making my girlfriend not to pick my calls*

I quickly understood she was playing the three of us but I won’t be part of the people this soldiers will flog today

Sir am just a driver, my oga is inside the room with her am just waiting for him to finish so I’ll take him home
He looked at me angrily and went to the room with his batin, he landed 3 strokes on the man’s bareback and 2 strokes on my ex back before bringing him and my ex out and knelt them down,she was surprised to see me

Okay oga I’ll be waiting for you outside, when the soldier is done with you come and meet me in the car I said as I rushed out the door before the man (boyfriend no 2) starts disputing the fact that am his driver.
I stayed at the window a lit bit and to see the way the soldiers were lashing them before I got on a bike and zoomed off.
I just pity the guy 😂🙆‍♂️

Supreme Court Upholds Eviction of CDC from Disputed Property

The Supreme Court of Liberia has upheld the lower court’s decision to evict the former ruling party, the Congress for Democratic Change (CDC), from the disputed property it is currently using as its headquarters.

The court on Thursday dismissed a bill of information filed by CDC lawyers challenging the eviction order. The high court ruled the CDC’s petition lacked legal grounds and failed to show any interference with its earlier judgment.

As part of the ruling, three CDC lawyers — A. Ndubuisi Nwabudike, Thompson M. Jargba, and James N. Kumeh — were fined $500 US dollars each. They must pay the amount to the government within 72 hours.

In March 2024, the court had ordered CDC’s eviction from the Interstate Estate, placing the property under the administration of the Martha Stubblefield Barnard family.

The CDC had occupied the property for years under a lease agreement but was previously found liable for unpaid rent amounting to $50,000 US dollars.

Monrovia – Jefferson Koijee, Secretary General of the opposition Congress for Democratic Change (CDC), has launched a scathing attack on Montserrado County Senator Darius Dillon, accusing him of betraying the trust of his constituents and engaging in lavish spending while ignoring the plight of ordinary Liberians. This, according to Koijee, makes the Montserrado County Senator “a monument of deception”.

In a Facebook post on Monday, Koijee questioned Dillon’s self-proclaimed image as “Mr. Light,” an advocate for transparency and honesty, alleging that the senator had used this persona to deceive both Montserrado residents and members of the Liberian diaspora. Koijee accused Dillon of engaging in “outrageous transactions” as Chair of the Senate’s Foreign Affairs Committee, stating that his actions now reflect a sharp contrast to the populist stance he once took.

“Yesterday, when he wasn’t in leadership, he made it appear as if he had the people’s interest at heart,” Koijee wrote, “but today, there’s a 20 million budgetary alteration, 15 million off-budget expenditure, 150K allocated for each senator, and a US$45K car, again amongst others.”

The CDC official further criticized Dillon for remaining silent on key issues, including a $100,000 credit card allegedly held by Unity Party (UP) presidential candidate Joseph Boakai. Koijee claimed Boakai and Dillon have turned a blind eye to the suffering of civil servants, the lack of critical medical equipment at JFK Hospital, and the unaffordable school fees for many Liberians.

Koijee also called out Dillon for allegedly flying business class during his travels, which he claims contradicts Dillon’s earlier statements that such luxuries would “shame his mom” and his constituents. “Today, as of now, he flew business class to New York,” Koijee added, accusing the senator of normalizing the behavior since trips to South Korea and China.

The Facebook post reflected Koijee’s larger argument that Dillon’s leadership has failed to address Liberia’s economic challenges, which the senator previously criticized as putting the country’s economy in the “toilet.” Koijee emphasized that, under Dillon’s leadership, the Senate’s budget for 103 individuals stands at US$58 million, a figure he deems unacceptable given the dire conditions faced by many Liberians.

“Dillon is a mistake that must be corrected; he has shamed everyone who brought him here,” Koijee concluded, urging Liberians to reject what he described as Dillon’s empty rhetoric and political showmanship.

Senator Dillon, a vocal critic of government corruption, has yet to respond to Koijee’s accusations.

President Joseph Nyuma Boakai has unveiled plans to establish Liberia’s first embassy in Canada since the 1980s, marking a significant milestone in strengthening diplomatic ties between the two nations.

Speaking at the Liberia Investment Forum 2024 in Toronto on Thursday, President Boakai noted that Liberia has lacked an official presence in Canada for over four decades. He assured attendees that the government is committed to bridging this gap by 2025.

The President highlighted that this initiative responds to requests from the Liberian community in Canada, which numbers around 30,000. This move is part of Liberia’s broader strategy to deepen economic and diplomatic partnerships with Canada.

According to President Boakai, the Trade and Investment Office in Mississauga was the initial step, and establishing an embassy will further enhance Liberia’s connections and promote mutual prosperity.

This announcement comes as Liberia seeks to enhance its global engagement and attract Canadian investment in sectors such as energy, mining, and agriculture.
